194 people were Arrested in Four Different Cities After Demonstration on Commemoration of the Historic Day of West Papuans

JAYAPURA, SUARAPAPUA.com –Demonstration in commemoration of 1^st December as the date of birth of West Papua Nation was done in Indonesia and abroad.

194 people were arrested in several places in Indonesia. 18 people were arrested in the evening of 30^th November 2018, 43 people were arrested in Ambon, 99 people were arrested in Ternate and 34 people were arrested in Jayapura.

This same demonstration was also done in Jakarta. Demonstrators were arrested at the front yard of Legal Aid office in Jakarta. This same demonstration was also done in Surabaya by Papuan Student Alliance (Aliansi Mahasiswa Papua) and other freedom movement organization but police forces and other mass organization blocked the action.

Suara Papua will keep confirming and giving up to date information regarding demonstrations that take place at the same time in several places in Indonesia.
