JAYAPURA, SUARAPAPUA.com —- The professionalism of Indonesian authorities in Papua is questionable. Because in a matter of days, a combination of the Indonesian National Army (TNI) and the Police had shot dead three Papuan young people in Timika Papua.
The three young people are Melki Marek Maisini/Joani. A sixteen-year-old graduate was shot on the same day when they shot dead Sandy Kogoya, a Battalion Commander of TPNPB Kodap VIII Kemabu, Intan Jaya, Papua.
And after three days, precisely on April 13th yesterday, the TNI and Polri again shot dead two young Papuans. They are Eden Armando Bebari (20) and Roni Wandik (23). These two young people were shot dead when they were going to catch the fish.

From the information gathered by this media, on Friday April 10th, 2020, Melki Marek Maisini/ Joani was shot dead on Trans Timika – Deiyai street, near the palm oil plantation area of PT Pal, Iwaka, Timika, Papua. The shooting of Melki coincided with the shooting of Tendi Kogoya [a member of TPNPB].
It is known that Melki is a Moni tribe resident living in SP 2 Local Government Housing, Timika. After being shot dead, Melki was rushed to the Timika Hospital in critical condition. He was declared dead at 7.oo pm because he could not be helped again by the medical team. Melki was buried in the SP 2 public cemetery, Timika on April 11th, 2020.

From the statement of the family obtained by Suara Papua, Eden Armando Bebari (20) and Roni Wandik (23) left their house around 08.00 am with the aim to catch fish in MP 34 in the area of PT Freeport Kuala Kencana. From the house, both of them brought equipment for catching the fish.
Eden Armando Bebari was born on August 29th, 2000. When he got shot he only 19 years old. While Roni Wandik was born on October 28th, 1996. When he was shot he was 23 years old.
Since they both left until evening, they did not back home. Because of that, the family and relatives of them went to their place. When they got there, the motorbike ridden by these two children was there. But the two young boys are not there. There was not even a sign that they were there.
At night around 11.30 pm, information circulated that the officer had succeeded in shooting two TPNPB members dead. At the same time, there is information circulating quickly. That Satgas Pamtas Mobile Gab YR 712 and YR 900 shot dead two civilians in MP 34 in the PTFI Kuala Kencana area.
Deminikus Bebari, Eden Armando Bebari’s biological father, confirmed that Eden and Roni were not members of the TPNPB.
“Eden and Roni is not a member of the KKB. Eden and Roni went to Kali Biru to catch the fish while checking their diving glass that left behind two days ago, “he said to suarapapua.com yesterday.
Bebari asserted that there were no bracelet patterns with the Morning Star flag that the two young men wore on their hands.
“They catch the fish at Mile 34. The bracelet that was installed in Eden was engineering. And there is no ammunition that two of us carry, all just engineering, “he told the media.
As reported by jubi.co.id, Eden Armando Bebari (19) is a third-semester student majoring in Computer Engineering at Multimedia Nusantara University in the City of South Tangerang, Banten.
In addition, as reported by papua.com, Kris Ohee, representing the family of the late Eden, asked the authorities to immediately revoke the accusations of mentioning the KKB against the two victims who had absolutely no connection with the criminal group.
“We ask to immediately revoke the mention of the KKB. Supposing this, you shoot people inside the house. You can’t easily call that KKB people, “Ohee said in the morgue of Mimika Regional Hospital, Tuesday (4/14/2020).
Ohee emphasized that the two young men who were neighbors and only ordinary people. They happened to be fishing at the time that later became a target for gunfire.
He regretted that the apparatus did not carry out the stages according to the standard operational procedure (SOP) in implementing their duties so that this ‘missing shot’ incident occurred.
“It means that the security officer must be well aware of a process in operation. Certainly know, but why don’t they do the SOP. This is an open place, the area is still reached by the community, not the wilderness, “he said.
Julianus Iminggawak, Roni Wandik’s older brother conveyed the same thing. At that time the two victims went fishing by diving carrying spears or arrows at Mile 34.
“In the fishing place, they have lit fires, grilled. We don’t know the cause until they get shot ” he said.
Julianus was also surprised how it was possible in the reports stated that the officer found evidence in the form of weapons, ammunition and so on.
“Now we are asking for that responsibility. Because they have already spread this information on social media that they are KKSB, hold two weapons “he said.
Not only that said Julianus, but reports circulating also mentioned there were around four members of KKSB, but two were shot dead and two others escaped during the shootout.

Commander of the Mimika Kodim 1710 Lieutenant Colonel Inf. Pio L Nainggolan, when confirmed, he said that they are still steeped in the incident. “Still under investigation,” he said curtly.
Until this news was published, the body of Melki Maisini Joani was buried in SP 2 grave. While the bodies of Eden Armando Bebari and Roni Wandi were buried at 13.17 pm SP 3 Timika cemetery.
