A Sugapa community member who did not wish to publicize his identity to suarapapua.com reported that on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 all Servants (Preachers) who served in all States of the Roman Catholic church under Bilogai Parish held a meeting in the parish to give out the themes.
Then, on Wednesday, October 7, the Servants of God Augustine travels back to Emondi Village, the place where he serves.
Currently, said the source of this media information, the Principal of SD YPPK Bilogai, Stefanus Sondegau, and a number of community members were on the scene to evacuate the victim.
Another community member who also did not want to inform his name to media said, the victim was shot near Domonggau. Then, after being shot, the victim, covered in blood, ran towards the community garden area in Tigindoga.
He added, the victim when heading to his village brought an air rifle.
“So what we think was that the shepherd was being shot from a distance. Because he was carrying an air rifle so maybe they (the perpetrators) suspected that he was a member of the TPNPB holding a gun so they shot him, “he said.
The West Papua National Liberation Army (TPNPB) Kodap VIII Kemabu Intan Jaya, Hutan Rimba Lawingga when contacting suarapapua.com from Sugapa accused the shooting was done out by the Indonesian military.
Because, he said, the TPNPB members were around Sugapa. But far from the scene.
Even, Lawingga added, his party heard gunshots in the morning from the Sokopaki airport, Bilogai, Intan Jaya.
“We indeed were in Sugapa. We heard gunfire this morning from the airport. We heard that one servant got shot. And I confirm that it is not from the TPNPB members, “he said.
Until this news was broadcasted, the victim was being evacuated from the location where he was found to be taken to the hospital for further medical treatments.
