JAYAPURA, SUARAPAPUA.com— The Combined military and police apparatus restricted spaces for University of Cenderawasih students who wanted to hold a demonstration action on the rejection of Special Authonomy and also to reject the discussion on Special Authonomy at the Uncen institution at the gate of Upper Uncen, Waena, Jayapura City, Monday (28/9/2020).
Students who gathered at the Upper University of Cenderawasih (Uncen) entrance and planned to march towards the Provincial Governor’s Office to convey their aspirations regarding the rejection of Otsus and the rejection of Otsus that were involved on the discussion by the Uncen Jayapura Institute.
From the monitoring of suarapapua.com, the combined military and police officers equipped with Sabhara, Dalmas, and Brimob cars with complete equipment restrict the students.
The mass was squeezed by a large number of security forces with full fighting (war) equipment along with tear gas cars.
The security forces authorities did not allow students to leave the gathering point at the gate of Uncen. The security forces authorities then gave time until 11:00 am. After the specified timings are given, they said that they would take action by dismissing the demonstration activities of the mass.
Currently, after negotiations between the authorities and the Mass of action in Uncen, the Mass began to disband.

Meanwhile, at Uncen, Abepura, Jayapura, at 11 o’clock past, the TNI / Polri officers dispersed the mass of demonstration action with a number of firearms.
So far there has not been confirmed yet from the security apparatus regarding the reasons for the disbandment.
