JAYAPURA, SUARAPAPUA.com— The West Papua National Liberation Army (TPNPB Kodap III Kompi D Dulla in Intan Jaya admitted that on Friday, November 6, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. local time, there had been gunfire between TPNPB and TNI / Polsi in Munimai and Langgoa villages, Agisiga Intan Jaya district.
The statement was made by Aibon Kogoya, the company commander of D Dulla under the command of Egianus Kogeya, Friday (6/11/2020).
In the firefight, said Aibon Kogoya, his party shot dead 2 TNI members and injured several other members.
“We attacked each other when members of the TNI / Polri came from Munimai village to Liwuga village. The aim of the TNI / Polri was to find us members of the TPNPB and to disturb the activities of the civilian people in the villages in Intan Jaya. Today they entered Munimai village, but we managed to block them, ”said Aibon.
He admitted that his party shot YR 400 / BR members, Pratu Firdaus, wounded on the neck and Pratu Arbi with a gunshot wound on the calf of his right leg.
“None of my members were victims or injured. We TPNPB are responsible for this shooting, “he said.
Thus, he asked President Jokowi and his staff to suppress or provide understanding to TNI / Polri troops about humanitarian law and not violating human rights.
His party also asked to stop killing, rape, seizure, kidnapping, the killing of indigenous Papuans from Sorong to Merauke. Stop lobbying foreign investment to enter Papua, because capitalism has sacrificed Papuans.
Meanwhile, the Head of Information for Kogabwilhan III Colonel Czi IGN Suriastawa, said that two TNI soldiers were shot in the incident, one of whom died in the name of Pratu Firdaus.
“The personnel of the R 400 / BR Infantry Battalion Task Force who was on patrol to ensure the safety of the community were shot by the KKB,” he said in a written press release on Friday night who was quoted from seputaranpapua.com.
He said that currently, the evacuation process of the victims is still underway. Pratu Firdaus was reported to have a gunshot wound to the neck and Pratu Arbi a gunshot wound to the calf of his right leg.
“This incident adds to the list of casualties in Intan Jaya. Not only TNI / Polri soldiers who are on duty, civilians are also targets of KKB,” said Suriastawa.
