WAMENA, SUARAPAPUA.com — Chairperson of the Action Committee for the United Liberation Movement for West Papua (ULMWP) from Laapago Region, Serogo Walela said on May 1st 2020, they held memorial service to remember about the Annexation of West Papua’s into the State of Indonesia.
On that occasion, Serogo stated that they supports ULMWP’s as full membership in the Melanesian Spearhead Group (MSG).
Serogo stated to media suarapapua.com last week that in the name of the Papuan nature, Papuan ancestors, and on behalf of the people of Papua they agreed to reject the State of Indonesia in Papua.
According to the international law, the existence of the Republic of Indonesia at Papua is illegal.
He also demanding Indonesia to be responsible for the sacrifice of Papuan lives, on the land of Papua from 1963 to 2020.
“We were Papuans do not deserve to live with the State of Indonesia, because from 1963 we were killed, slaughtered and raped. So we are do not deserve to live with the Indonesian,“ said Serogo.
Previously, Iche Murib stated, ULMWP refused the annexation of Papua to Indonesia, because since May 1st, 1963, Indonesia carried out colonialism towards Papuans.
“The claim ‘Papua entered Indonesia’ is invalid and legally flawed. We Papuans strongly refuse it, because Indonesia has rejected the International Law. ULMWP requests that Indonesia must fulfill the right to self-determination as a solution for West Papua,” Murib said.
